Auction Format

Hotlotz is a digital auction house. All bids are placed online via or We do not accept commission or telephone bids.  

Bidding closes on Sunday 30 April. Lot closing times are staggered in one minute intervals from 3pm SGT onwards.

All auctions are subject to auto-extended bidding. This means that if a bid is placed in the final five minutes before a lot closes, the bidding period is extended by a further five minutes. This continues until a full five minutes has elapsed without another bid being placed.

Buyer’s Premium

A buyer’s premium equal to 30% (inclusive of 8% GST) of the winning bid will be added to the hammer price. 

Auction Currency

All opening bids, bidding increments and hammer prices (as the winning bid is often referred to) are denominated in Singapore Dollars and are inclusive of 8% GST.

Bidding Increments

Bidding increments are listed as follows:

From 0 to $400 increment is $20

From $400 to $1000 increment is $50

From $1000 to $2000 increment is $100

From $2000 to $5000 increment is $200

From $5000 to $10000 increment is $500

From $10000 to $100000 increment is 1000

Above $100000 increment is $5000


All items are available to view in the Hotlotz saleroom, unless there is a note to the contrary in the catalogue notes. Viewing is highly recommended as all items are offered for sale in ‘as is’ condition. Viewing is available whenever the saleroom is open. No appointment is necessary. Please refer to the saleroom opening hours (available here).

Condition Reports

If you are unable to view in person we are happy to provide condition reports and send additional images or video, on request.  

Many lots already have condition notes listed so please check the auction catalogue before requesting a condition report. If you require additional information click the ‘Ask a Question’ button on each individual lot‘s page. 

Winner’s Notification

A system generated winner’s notification email will be issued at the end of every timed auction. This is sent to all winners. It confirms the items that they have won, and the corresponding hammer price (inclusive of 8% GST) that they have paid.


Singapore Residents

Singapore residents will receive an email within 24 hours of the closing time of the auction that includes a link to their invoice and full instructions on how to make payment. Payment should be made immediately.

We accept payments by bank transfer or PayNow.

We do not accept payments in cash or by cheque.

We also accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express payment cards. We do not charge additional fees if you use a payment card. 

Non Singapore Residents

If you registered a country of residence in your Hotlotz or profile that is not Singapore Hotlotz will initially send a Statement of Account, rather than an invoice, which shows that GST has been zero-rated.

Non Singapore residents will be asked to re-confirm that they are non-resident and provide an overseas shipping address. They will also be asked to instruct Hotlotz to manage the export process on their behalf, and for it to take place within 60 days of the auction date.

If they agree to these IRAS mandated export conditions Hotlotz will send an email with a link to a  zero-rated GST invoice and shipping invoice. These require immediate payment.

Non Singapore residents should note that GST will be applied if they do not agree to these export conditions (i.e. if Hotlotz is not managing the export process on your behalf, or if it does not take place within 60 days of the auction date).

First Party Payment Rules 

Hotlotz can only accept payment from the winning bidder. We cannot accept third-party payments from an individual or organisation that is not the winning bidder. This includes payments from the spouse of a winning bidder or another family member.
