Timed online auction format
Hotlotz is a digital auctioneer and as such all bidding is placed online only. We do not accept commission or telephone bids.
Bidding closes on Sunday 17 October 2021. Lots close in one minute intervals from 6pm SGT / 11am BST onwards. Our auctions all benefit from auto-extended bidding technology. This means that if you place a bid in the final five minutes before a lot closes, the bidding period is extended by a further five minutes. This continues until a full five minutes has elapsed without another bid being placed.

Clients should register for the sale (use the ‘register to bid’ button on hotlotz.com or the ‘connect to auction’ button on the-saleroom.com) at their earliest opportunity.
If you win an item you will be charged a GST inclusive Buyer’s Premium of 24% inc. GST on the closing bid.
Auction currency & bidding increments
All opening bids, bidding increments and closing bids are denominated in SGD and are inclusive of Singaporean GST (7%) where applicable. Bidding increments are listed below.

Viewing in person is recommended and encouraged as all items are offered for auction ‘as is’. Please refer to our saleroom opening hours (available here).
If you are unable to view in person our cataloguers are happy to provide condition reports and additional images or video on request.
Many lots already have condition notes listed so please check the auction catalogue first. If you require more information simply click the ‘Ask a question’ button on the individual lot page.
Once the auction has concluded, you will receive an automated post-sale winner’s notification confirming which items you won.
Hotlotz will send out an invoice in a second email within 24 hours. This email will also contain payment instructions and collection and shipping information.
When you receive your invoice please pay it promptly, no later than 3 days after the sale date. We prefer payment by bank transfer or PayNow. We also accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express branded payment cards. We do not charge additional fees to clients who choose to pay using a payment card. Unless we have explicitly agreed otherwise, we will not accept cash or cheque payments.
If we arrange shipping on your behalf this will billed on a separate invoice.
Collection and shipping
If you are self-collecting please check our saleroom opening hours before you visit (available here). No appointment is necessary however if you have multiple items (or limited time) then advance warning is appreciated.
If you have requested shipping our client services team will contact you to discuss your specific requirements. As we sell a wide variety of items, and packaging and transportation requirements vary from item-to-item, we always generate bespoke quotes for your consideration.
We always try to identify the most cost effective way to safely pack and ship your items. All quotes include appropriate packaging materials and all delivery costs. Insurance is optional and our client services team will provide you with the available choices.
GST will be zero-rated for the buyers of goods bought in auction who are non-resident of the Republic of Singapore, providing that Hotlotz manages the export process and that the export is carried out within 60 days of the auction date.
If you won an item in auction and you indicated in your Hotlotz/ the-saleroom.com account that your country of residence is not the Republic of Singapore we will initially send you a statement of account, rather than an invoice, which shows that GST has been zero rated. You will be asked to re-confirm that you are non-resident and provide an overseas shipping address. You will also be asked to confirm that you instruct Hotlotz to manage the export process on your behalf, within 60 days of the auction date.
Our client services team will then send you an email with a link to a zero-rated GST invoice for the items that you won in auction and the shipping invoice. We will provide full instructions on how to make payment via hotlotz.com. Please pay this invoice promptly.
International buyers should note that GST will be applied in ANY other export scenario (i.e. if Hotlotz is not managing the export process on your behalf, within 60 days of the auction date).
